Indiana, PA – [April 21, 2025] – In a powerful tribute to the 250th anniversary of the United States, America250PA, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, is embarking on a historic endeavor: planting a Liberty Tree in each of Pennsylvania's 67 counties.

Echoing the spirit of the American Revolution, these plantings honor the original Liberty Tree in Boston, Massachusetts, a symbol of freedom and defiance where the Sons of Liberty gathered to resist British rule. Though the original tree was destroyed by the British, its legacy lives on. Today, seeds from a scion of that historic tree are being cultivated into seedlings, carrying the torch of liberty to every corner of Pennsylvania.

Indiana County will join this commemorative effort on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the White Township Recreational Complex, located at 495 E Pike Rd, Indiana, PA 15701. This symbolic planting will serve as a lasting reminder of the values upon which the nation was founded.

Members of the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge, alongside representatives from Indiana-Franklin Lodge No. 313 (Indiana), Williamson Lodge No. 431 (Saltsburg), and Acacia Lodge No. 355 (Blairsville), will conduct the ceremony, ensuring a dignified and meaningful event for the community.

The public is warmly invited to attend the Liberty Tree planting ceremony in Indiana County and participate in this historic celebration of America's 250th anniversary.
